Everything from the water's edge out.

Docks, ramps, lifts, walkways, and the seasonal work that keeps them going. All of it welded and installed by the same shop.

Pipe docks

Pipe docks are strong and secure permanent structures built to withstand all weather conditions.

Steel pipes are drilled and anchored into bedrock, or screwed down as helical piles where the bottom is sand, silt or muck. Six-inch steel I-beams get welded across the pipe tops and box-framed, joists are bolted in, and cross-braced underneath.

It stays in the water all year. It doesn't move with wind, waves or ice pressure. And because it's modular, another section or a slip can be added later without touching what's already standing.

The install happens in winter, on the ice — we drive out and drill through it. That's not a limitation, it's the method. Solid ice is a better work platform than a barge.

Floating docks

For deep or moving water levels. Floating docks are customized to your shoreline, built at the shop and delivered whole.

Built with either a welded steel frame or wood frame, our floating docks are available in multiple sizes and custom configurations to suit any shoreline. Choose from wood or low-maintenance PVC decking for long-lasting performance.

Floating docks are fabricated at our shop in Kenora, and delivered complete. Site work is placing and connecting it to your shoreline.

Like a pipe dock, it stays in the water over winter. It's the ramp that has to be removed with before freeze-up.

Shore mounts

Rock mounts are ideal for areas with exposed bedrock. A level deck bolted straight to the rock.

Anchored into exposed bedrock at the water's edge. Shore mounts form a flat deck on ground that isn't so flat.

Sizes can vary from small to medium size decks. Truss frame options for smaller sizes and 6” steel I-beam construction for larger sizes available. Our shore mounts are designed to provide a stable transition from land to dock while accommodating shoreline characteristics.

Because it's fixed to shore rather than standing in open water, it can go in on the ice or in summer, whichever suits the schedule.

Boathouses

A pipe dock with a boat slip and building on top. The hard part is what's underneath.

A boathouse is a pipe dock doing a harder job. The same drilled and welded steel foundation and frame, but sized to carry a building, with an interior slip framed into the deck so the boat sits inside on a lift, out of the weather and off the water entirely.

Everything about the platform has to be decided before anything is built on it — where the slip goes, how wide the opening is, what the boat needs for clearance, whether the roof is going to be a deck. Getting that wrong is expensive in a way that getting a dock wrong isn't.

What we build is the structure that makes it possible: foundation, frame, deck and slip. For a complete boathouse we work alongside the carpenters who build the enclosure above, so it comes together as one project rather than two.

Foundation

Drilled steel pipes or helical piles, sized for the load

Frame

6″ steel I-beam welded steel, engineered to carry a building

Boat Slip

Framed into the deck, boat sits inside on a lift

Decking

Pressure-treated lumber or PVC
